My Ultimate Remedy for the Cold Nights

Because of unexpected problems, I was able to leave the store 1 hour after my expected time out. I was so depressed that night and I fell asleep while heading to Pampanga. When I got there, my family just had their dinner at the Classic Saviry Chicken and they are about to close. I rushed to National Bookstore to buy something. Mom and my sister fetched me and we went to Starbucks to buy cake slices and coffee before we head home.

The night was perfect for a cup of coffee since it was rainy. I had Caramel Macchiato, a freshly steamed milk with vanilla-flavored syrup, marked with espresso and finished with caramel sauce as described in their site.
I also had a slice of their featured cake, Red Velvet. It's composed of three layers of red sponge cake then filled and frosted with creamy cheese icing. I love this one since it's better than the one I had in a well known bakeshop.
My sister did not think twice of what to have. Her all time favorite is this Oreo Cheesecake. A creamy and luscious layer of cheesecake topped with oreo crumbs and tastes absolutely perfect.
I am not a super fan of Starbucks but they are known to have affordable and delicious coffee and desserts. Some of my other favorites are the banoffee pie and cinnamon swirl:) Don't forget to try these amazing products on your next visit!!!

Sweet Temptation: Killing the Summer Heat:)

For the past weeks, I became addicted to sweet foods.
During the holy week, my sister introduced to me Kimy Krazy Banana. It's a banana flavored ice cream inside  a yellow jelly that can be peeled. It's exciting to eat and very delicious!
I ate it like an ordinary ice drop because i forgot that it can be peeled. Based from my experience, it is best to eat the jelly separately from the ice cream inside.
Of course, when we talk of Nestle ice cream, the Twin Pops will never be out of the list. It is good, cheap and good for two if you are not much into sweets. It is also available in chocolate flavor.

I am not a Halo-Halo lover, but I am wondering what Icebergs' Caramel Con Yelo tastes like so I tried it one burning hot afternoon! It am just wondering why is it called caramel con yelo because when I ate it, it has mangoes, bananas, macapuno and other stuffs in it that surely does not tastes like caramel. Good thing it taste just fine!
But I love Razon's Halo-Halo better.
The only thing I like with this better than the other is the vanilla ice cream on top.

Another obsession is Red Ribbon's Brazo de Mercedes.
It's like a thick layer of meringue rolled with golden yellow custard filling.
Most people would prefer the end of the cake roll since it is the one with more custard filling.
The meringue softly dissolves in your mouth.
Very light yet very powerful dessert.
It can be considered as one of the Phillipines' favorite cake specialty.

Happy eating sweethearts!

Vday @ Greenbelt 3: NYFD, The Black Swan, Bubba Gump

It's Vday and it's Jharon's 21st Birthday.. so after fixing my retainers I went to him at gateway and we had a hard time going to Greenbelt since no taxi wants to give us a ride... As always he never considered MRT as a way of transportation (hehe arte much!) So we had no choice but to ride the bus... We went to Greenbelt 3 to claim our reserved seats for Black Swan then he treated me @ NYFD for snacks which I guess is heavy enough to be called dinner! I gave him a small cake from Bread Talk which looks like him when smiling.

As always, nothing can beat NYFD when it comes to fries! It was superb especially with my favorite Garlic Parmesan. I ordered their signature sandwich NYFD Bacon N' Cheese Burger which I think is perfectly served that time. Of course it won't be complete without the strawberry juice!!!

On the other hand, he ordered Bacon Cheesedog which is more than enough to be called supper according to him.

Then he wants some jelly beans from the candy station just beside the NYFD stall so I went there to have some and I have lots of funny experiences during that time.

Then we went to see the advance screening of the much talked about film of the year- The Black Swan... It was an awesome movie and the performance of Portman was outstanding!
After the movie, we walked then walked and walked again then we decided to eat at Bubba Gump but we were still full because of the snacks we had @ NYFD so I only ordered pasta and he got some dessert since we was not able to eat all of his food before the movie

the place is cool and full of vintage designs that has a theme of a cabin found beside a lake

I was not able to eat the pasta since I already feel like vomiting plus we had a small fight that time. But the one I ordered, OF COURSE WE HAVE SCAMPI taste really good!!! The power of the shrimp was given emphasis... I forgot what my drink is but It's really lovely!!! I think it's JENNY'S FAVORITE

and lastly, it won't be a birthday without the blowing of the cake!!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!!!
