Heavenly Dinner @ Holy Cow, Midtown

Last Tuesday, I texted Deah and told her that we should go out and bond if she has a free time. I told her to set a date, then she told me "mamaya cge" I was not prepared actually to go out that night but knowing how med life runs, I took it to be with my dear friend:) naks... So we met each other at Espana after my work and we are having second thoughts on where to go. But since Robinsons Manila is nearer than Trinoma, we chose to go there, not bad for an unplanned dinner.
We were both starving that time, but we went to check some boutiques first and to buy tickets for the movie that we want to watch. Then we walked and walked looking for a place to eat. We chose this American Steak House and Grill that we saw since it's been there for some time but we haven't tried it yet.
Holy Cow as I said is an American Steakhouse and Grill that has several branches in the metro. From its name you will obviously know their specialties.  Here is a picture of me while waiting for our order at Holy Cow Robinsons Place Manila.
Here is one of my closest and coolest friend, future doctor of medicine, Andrea in yellow:)) haha
Here is a photo taken showing the interior of the Resto. The lamp, horse shoe and the others contribute in giving that ranch atmosphere. I love the lights, not to bright and gives a warm feeling and coziness.
Andrea chose to a rice meal for that evening. She ordered Lonestar Grilled Pork Chop which is priced reasonably considering the size of the pork and the quality of the dish. It is served with a colored rice (not actually java) and mixed vegetables.
At first, I wanted to have rice, but after seeing their menu, I was curious with both the Pasta and the Burgers that they have so I chose to try those instead. For my pasta, I ordered Superb Creamy Carbonara (well if you will notice, carbonara is my favorite). I love it! Not too creamy nor salty. The pasta is cooked perfectly. It's served with a garlic bread.
I also ordered Juicy Melty Beef Burger(if I remember it right) which is served with potato fries and dip. I love this one because of the beef patty. It's thick and oozing with the flavors I am loooking for in a burger. The fries are good, hot and crispy. The dip also contributed to it's yumminess! Pak na Pak!
Here is  a picture showing what's in the burger... Oh it makes me hungry again///

Over-all, our dining experience was great. They have good customer service, the crew is attentive and fast, not to mention that there is no service charge. The food is delicious and affordable. I would love to go back there and try more of their offerings.
You can also go to their other branches in SM Megamall and SM Mall of Asia. Buh bye for now!

Dinner @ Army Navy+In The Name of Love (05.17.11)

I was alarmed that I was beaten by mommy and daddy when they watched In the Name of Love first. I can really feel my social life dying! haha OA lang. So I forced(yes forced talaga!) ate to watch it with me. I thought riding the LRT will be easier since usually there is traffic all-over the metro 7-9pm. But again, I was wrong I counted years on our way to Trinoma. We purchased our tickets when we got there and since we still have an hour and a half, we went to SM North Sky Garden to have dinner.
Almost everywhere is filled with people and I was really hoping to eat ASAP since I did not have mirienda that day at work. We went to Army Navy to have quick dinner before the film starts. It's nice  to dine at the sky garden since the weather is gloomy and it feels like it was going to rain anytime. The only disadvantage of course is you will be very exposed to those who pass.
After we ordered, we rested and chat with one another. I really think that they are very slow in preparing the orders since it took them 45 minutes to prepare our sandwiches. Another thing that I do not like is they serve our orders one by one.
For our beverages, we had LIBERTEA. It's just iced tea but there is something different with the taste.
We also had FREEDOM FRIES which I think is a crispier and tastier mini version of KFC's fries. It's so small but very heavy in the stomach.
I chose to have STARVING SAILOR. I prefer the beef flavor than the chicken. It's a submarine type sandwich with beef strips and cheese.
Thank God that my wait is worth it. It's delicious and very satisfying. The combination of this sandwich with the freedom fries made me feel bloated after that quick eating.
Ate had their Classic BURGER which she said is good but the sesame seeds are bothering her because they look creepy. hahaha Silly!

We returned to Trinoma when we finished our meals. There are many people who went to see the last screening of the movie. The movie is phenomenal and I've been hearing good reviews about it. I personally think that the movie is good but it could have been better if the love story of Cedes and Emman was given a longer time. BITIN kasi! You will see how Angel matured as an actress. I love the confrontation scene of Aga and Angel. It made me realize that sometimes you will not understand or feel good why someone did a certain thing to you, but that does not mean that he/she does not love you.
In the Name of Love is directed by Olivia Lamasan and is the 18th anniversary offering of Star Cinema. It's still being shown in theaters nationwide. Let's support the Filipino Film Industry.

Dinner @ Big City + Priest (05.13.11)

May 13 is the day the newest album of Sarah G was released. I was very determined to grab my own copy that day so when I knew that SM San Lazaro is close already, I automatically rushed to SM North Edsa since they have extended mall hours. I ride the fastest thing I knew to go there, and that is LRT. Too bad that it took us long to reach the Roosevelt station. The train is so slow.Luckily, I arrived at The Block 10 minutes before the closing time. I ran as fast as I could to Astroplus and purchased the album at once.
After that I tried to see what movies are for the last full show that will give me enough time to eat dinner first. It's been quite long since I last watched a 3D movie so I chose Priest. We bought tickets then we searched for a place to eat. It's already past 10pm so almost every store and restaurants are closed. We decided to go to the cinema then we saw Big City. Located near the cinemas at The Block, Big City offers burgers, sausages, pastas and more.

We had their Double Flame Broiled burger which is served with fries. I really love their burger. It is well cooked and I can really taste the beef used for the patty. Their fries have good quality also. It's a great choice for all those who lives in a busy lifestyle. It is a way to have a quick meal without the quality being sacrificed.

After our quick yet fulfilling meal, we went directly to the cinemas. They gave us free popcorns (or hotdogs depending on your choice) for snacks. I already watched in several 3D theaters but only in this cinema I participated in a game before the film. Very entertaining.
I am not a fan of horror films since I get scared easily, but Priest is not that scary. More of an action fantasy wherein priest are capable of fighting vampires and they are the protectors of humans. I can compare its story to resident evil. I am very tired that day but I was really entertained and the movie is not boring at all.
Priest is still being shown in several theaters nationwide...
