My Ultimate Remedy for the Cold Nights

Because of unexpected problems, I was able to leave the store 1 hour after my expected time out. I was so depressed that night and I fell asleep while heading to Pampanga. When I got there, my family just had their dinner at the Classic Saviry Chicken and they are about to close. I rushed to National Bookstore to buy something. Mom and my sister fetched me and we went to Starbucks to buy cake slices and coffee before we head home.

The night was perfect for a cup of coffee since it was rainy. I had Caramel Macchiato, a freshly steamed milk with vanilla-flavored syrup, marked with espresso and finished with caramel sauce as described in their site.
I also had a slice of their featured cake, Red Velvet. It's composed of three layers of red sponge cake then filled and frosted with creamy cheese icing. I love this one since it's better than the one I had in a well known bakeshop.
My sister did not think twice of what to have. Her all time favorite is this Oreo Cheesecake. A creamy and luscious layer of cheesecake topped with oreo crumbs and tastes absolutely perfect.
I am not a super fan of Starbucks but they are known to have affordable and delicious coffee and desserts. Some of my other favorites are the banoffee pie and cinnamon swirl:) Don't forget to try these amazing products on your next visit!!!

Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf's with friends:))

After our dinner at the Kitchen, napagdesisyunan namin nila deah and tracy na tumambay muna sa GB and to share stories. Since first year college, these two ladies were two of the closest friends that i have... We have this connection na parang walang nagbabago though we have different friends din.

We managed to stay calm kahit naeexcite na kami sa aming pinagkukwentuhan...

It's good to know how people get matured in their points of view in life,
but it's amazing how some friendships seem to be timeless:)

Dinner @ Kenny Rogers + Cafe Breton, Trinoma (04.25.11)

After our family gathering at Mimosa Leisure Park and Casino in Clarkfield, Pampanga, I decided to go back early to Manila to have my hair cut. Then me and my friend agreed to watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2 that night but unfortunately he was late and I want to go home early since it's the last week of Imortal. We decided to just have dinner before going home. Since almost every shop is closing we just ate at Kenny.
He had this healthy meal of chicken breast with green vegetable salad and mixed fruits for side dish. This is one thing that you can never make me eat:)
I had Fish instead matched with macaroni salad. Then after that meal, I was craving for sweets to brighten up my mood so we went up to check what shops are still open, luckily the first one is Cafe Breton.

I first knew of Cafe Breton because it was featured at Where U At of Myx. I really like the place. Not so modern but it will give you this old countryside feeling.

It is an ideal place to have conversations with your friends and tackle anything and everything under the sun. I like their choice of music plus the warmness that the lights bring.
We just planned to have drinks but their crepes are so tempting so we ordered one to try. We had this one which has nutella and walnut on top. It's so good and I highly recommend this to everyone who goes to Cafe Breton.
We also ordered Legoise (lee-jwah) an ice blended drink with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate syrup on top which comes in various flavors. We had caramel and if I'm not mistaken double or dark chocolate.
Cafe Breton is a must try! Very different from those coffee shops that we usually go to!
Go and satisfy yourself with these sweet treats!

First time @ Mamang Taho (04.14.11)

It's friday night and I have nothing to do at home so I decided to pursue my plans the day before. After work, I went directly to Mamang Taho. I am curious of what makes it different from other coffee shop and I've noticed that it's starting to increase the number of its customers despite of being located beside Figaro and it is halfway between two Starbucks outlet.

Mamang Taho is a coffee shop situated near UST (Dapitan corner Padre Noval) which opened late last year.

The place is cozy and has a very warm feeling. It is suitable for someone who wants to study, read or just hang out with friends. I saw a couple of students who are reviewing PACOP so they must be pharma students.

Since it's Friday, I can only eat fish so i have to be choosy in matching my beverage with the sandwich
They have Tuna Panini Sandwich which should be served with potato chips. Too bad the chips are not available! But I appreciate that they asked if it was fine with me. I like the way the panini is. Enough to make you taste the Tuna but not too much na "nakaka-umay". I will surely have this again on my next visit. I am hoping that the chips will be available na.

I matched my panini with this strawberry flavored drink. The ice is finely crashed and the flavor is not sweet and not too sour. It's one of the best strawberry flavored drink I've tasted.

Of course my experience will not be complete without me reading The Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I enjoyed my stay and the next thing I knew is that they are about to close. I am looking forward to my next visit. I'm not a taho drinker but since many enjoy what they serve here so I guess it must be really good

One thing that I think will make this place better is for them to have pastas or rice meals since most of their customers are students or working people, it will be beneficial for both the students and the store's profit if they can have supper while reviewing:)
